A lot of the work that I've done in the past year or so revolves around designing conversational experiences. With the rise of LLMs and chat-based interaction patterns, it's no surprise that this way of interacting with our screens is the new norm. My friends and colleagues joke with me that I should change my title from Product Designer to "Chat Designer" because that seems to be all I do these days :)
To be honest, I wasn't a fan of chat-based interfaces from the get-go. I don't think I am now either but it is an interesting design challenge and an opportunity to shape the future of how we interact with our machines.
I’m planning to write more about designing conversational interfaces for Epidemic Sound, Tzafon, PlentyLabs, and Fika Jobs when I get a little breathing room this summer. More coming soon!
